The Secretary position at the University of Tennessee Medical Center is a vital role within the Hemophilia Program, also known as the HTC Program. This position is designed to support the operational efficiency of the clinic by performing a variety of administrative tasks that are essential for patient care. The Secretary will be responsible for managing communication between patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices, ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly and professionally. This role requires a high level of organization and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. In addition to answering phones and scheduling appointments, the Secretary will play a key role in clinic organization. This includes preparing charts for patient visits, which is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. The Secretary will also collaborate closely with medical providers, including registered nurses (RNs), advanced practice providers (APPs), and medical doctors (MDs), to facilitate seamless patient care. This collaboration is essential for ensuring that all patient needs are met and that the clinic operates efficiently. Furthermore, the Secretary will be involved in process improvement tasks aimed at enhancing clinic efficiency. This may include identifying areas for improvement in administrative processes and implementing solutions to streamline operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in secretarial work or patient access coordination (preferred)
