About the position

The Section Leader of Non-Malignant Hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is a leadership role focused on guiding the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division. This position emphasizes clinical research, collaboration, and the development of initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes in non-malignant blood disorders. The leader will engage with interdisciplinary teams to enhance clinical trials and research efforts, ultimately aiming to increase survival rates for patients with blood disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the visionary leader for the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division.
  • Provide leadership in convening interprofessional and interdisciplinary faculty.
  • Enhance collaborations and attract patients for clinical trials.
  • Lead the multi-disciplinary team within the Non-Malignant Hematology Section/Division.
  • Collaborate with key constituencies to expand clinical trials and research initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards to measure financial performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certified/eligible in medical oncology and/or hematology.
