About The Position

Amazon is seeking a highly motivated Security Engineer to join the Amazon Security organization, focusing on the Enterprise Protection Program. This role involves investigating insider threats, developing proactive solutions, and collaborating with various teams to enhance security measures. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
• Experience with AWS products and services.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into potential insider threats.
• Perform deep dive analysis of internal and external datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and activities indicative of insider threats.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build and develop solutions and tools that identify and mitigate risk.
• Translate use cases into technical requirements.
• Create quantitative feedback mechanisms to drive automation and optimization of analytics and tools.
• Communicate and collaborate with partner teams and the security community across Amazon.
