About The Position

The Security/Facility Operations Associate is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure work environment by monitoring security protocols and providing general facilities support. This unarmed security position involves observing and reporting on security matters, managing access control, and responding to emergencies under the guidance of the Security Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Required knowledge of Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • CPR/AED certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience managing supplies inventory.
  • Ability to follow oral/written instructions and communicate effectively with Management, colleagues, and external customers.
  • Experience with security systems such as alarm monitoring, CCTV, fire monitoring, and access control.
  • 2 years of experience in security preferred.
  • Experience in general facility work.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and implement established security and facility policies and procedures for employees, guests, and vendors.
  • Make routine checks of the facility to ensure safety and security.
  • Complete interior and exterior building patrols 3-4 times each shift, noting any irregularities.
  • Check all secured areas including computer and data rooms, and electrical closets throughout the property.
  • Train and work within the Brivo security database or similar, loading access cards and managing access as needed.
  • Run database reports when requested by the Security Manager.
  • Provide assistance in emergency situations such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, and medical emergencies.
  • Serve as the point of contact and chief warden during drills and live emergency situations.
  • Assist HR and Security management on termination requests and ensure terminations are escorted from the building.
  • Generate and submit security incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and pull recorded video from the CCTV system when requested by Security Management.
  • Perform general customer service tasks, including greeting and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors.
  • Process incoming and outgoing deliveries and manage supplies inventory.
  • Provide general facility support, including light maintenance work and room setup for meetings.
