About the position
The Command Center Monitor will oversee security and safety incidents within a command center environment, ensuring a rapid and effective response to emergencies. This role requires a candidate with a background in security or law enforcement, capable of functioning in a fast-paced and high-pressure setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security and safety systems, including CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, including contacting emergency services and coordinating response efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Answer 2-way radio communications professionally and helpfully while gathering information.
- Maintain building security and Command Center operations.
- Participate in job training programs.
Requirements
- Must have three years of driving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in security or law enforcement.
- Valid Michigan Drivers License.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
