About The Position

The Security Project Manager will oversee the Insider Threat Program (ITP) at a large biotechnology company in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on enhancing detection and response mechanisms related to insider threats, utilizing Data Loss Prevention (DLP), forensics, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence (CTI). The position also involves leveraging cloud technologies and AI/ML to improve detection processes and automate workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project management (in the Security space)
• Strong experience in Insider Threat Program management and operations
• Expertise in DLP, forensics, incident response, CTI, and automation development
• Python Experience
• Proficiency in Jira for project management
• Experience with AI/ML and cloud technologies

Responsibilities

• Schedule meetings & send follow up notes
• Lead projects related to ITP enhancements, including DLP, incident response, CTI, and automation development.
• Manage and track deliverables, timelines, and milestones using Jira.
• Coordinate across teams (Security, HR, Legal, IT) for effective insider threat detection and mitigation.
• Build and refine detection mechanisms using DLP and forensics tools.
• Monitor key vectors such as data exfiltration, unauthorized access, and unusual user activity.
• Correlate internal activity with external threat indicators using CTI.
• Enhance detection accuracy and refine alerting mechanisms with threat intelligence feeds.
• Integrate CTI into insider threat workflows and provide trend analysis.
• Develop and update documentation for the Insider Threat Program, including policies, standards, response playbooks, and runbooks.
• Design and implement automation workflows for investigations.
• Automate tasks such as data correlation, alert triage, and evidence collection.
