About the position
The Security & Risk Solution Architect at Cognizant will lead the delivery of ServiceNow implementations, providing mentorship and thought leadership in platform design, integration, and technology strategy. This role involves ensuring that new solutions align with existing enterprise architecture and effectively communicating these solutions to various stakeholders, including process owners and C-suite executives. The architect will also provide technical leadership, hands-on problem-solving, and development support while mentoring junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and design discussions for Security & Risk projects.
- Nurture vital project processes such as platform architecture documentation and integration documentation.
- Translate requirements and technical processes into fully functional features.
- Perform technical development and configuration at high standards, mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
- Conduct technical design mentoring within projects following ServiceNow standard processes.
- Define the Risk vs. Value Proposition for third-party integrations with ServiceNow.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Delivery Services processes.
- Lead, educate, mentor, and coach project resources.
- Assist in prioritizing new opportunities and design tools for efficient delivery.
- Act as the final partner concern point for technical decision-making within a project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or the Sciences.
- 6+ years working on the ServiceNow platform.
- Proven track record in a Security & Risk domain.
- Participated in 20+ ServiceNow implementations across various disciplines.
- 3+ years of architecting solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
- ServiceNow scripting and JavaScript proficiency required.
- High-level understanding of scripting and app development, including web services and API's.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional Certification in IT4IT, ITILv4, TOGAF preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer.
- Familiarity with Angular JS, Soap, Rest, JSON, Ajax, CSS, SaSS, HTML5, SP Widgets, and XML.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
