About the position

The Sediment Management & Remediation Lead position at Cole Solutions involves leading projects related to sediment management and remediation, focusing on navigation sediment challenges, contaminated sediment remediation, and ecosystem restoration. This role is primarily remote for candidates in the Mid-Atlantic region and emphasizes client management and project leadership without extensive business development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead on sediment management initiatives.
• Develop data quality objectives, field sampling plans, and quality assurance plans.
• Analyze chemical and biological data.
• Prepare and review required environmental permits.
• Evaluate dredged material disposal options and remedial alternatives.
• Prepare MPRSA Section 103 evaluations and other ecotoxicological evaluations.
• Develop cost estimates to support proposals.
• Provide regulatory oversight.
• Manage client relationships and development.
• Develop technical proposals.
• Mentor early and mid-career staff.

Requirements

• M.S. degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in sediment client management, or a BS with 12 years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge of sediment fundamentals.
• Strong commitment to client support.
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships with clients.
• Strong desire to lead and mentor staff.
• Valid US work authorization.
