About the position

The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team is seeking a highly-motivated and energetic Semiconductor Engineer to focus on the development of FPGA (and some ASIC) devices for products within the Semiconductor Test division. This role is crucial as it involves working in a dynamic multi-site development environment, ensuring that the devices developed meet the high standards of performance and quality expected in the industry. The position reports into the Logic Design organization, where collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to define scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable FPGA devices and IP. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of FPGAs for automated test equipment. You will engage in hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing, as well as debugging to ensure that the products function as intended. Close collaboration with the design verification team is necessary to simulate designs and achieve appropriate test coverage. Additionally, you will define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments, acting as a technical lead for FPGA project teams and mentoring junior engineers. The position also involves participating in logic design process improvement initiatives and tool evaluations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering processes within the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about digital logic design and FPGA physical design, and who thrives in a collaborative, innovative environment.
