Optimum Sports is the dedicated sports marketing agency within OMG. Unlike traditional sports marketing agencies, Optimum Sports operates in both the Sports Sponsorship and Sports Media landscapes. With the combination of both disciplines under a single offering, Optimum Sports is able to provide its clients with unique and advantageous marketplace leverage through which it delivers cohesive, multi-platform sports marketing strategies. Our approach integrates media, investment, property, and insights to develop strategy, manage negotiation and execution, and evaluate performance of partnerships. We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to provide internal strategic support and to manage external communication. This individual will provide OMG strategy teams with real time marketplace insights to inform communications planning. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) also leads in the development and implementation of sports-focused sponsorship and media strategies designed for clients to create customized multi-platform programs. Externally, the SAE will manage relationships across the sports media and property marketplaces with the ultimate goal of maximizing partnership value.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sports idea generation within agency team while facilitating client-facing sell through
  • Work with clients/networks/leagues to develop custom integrations or alter existing elements to fit within overall program
  • Aid in determination of optimal asset mix + branding elements within sponsorship proposals
  • Employ strategies and tactics across multi-platform partnerships that deliver on KPIs
  • Implementation, tracking, and valuation of cross-channel media and partnership activation
  • Create and implement optimal media and sponsorship management process including timeline tracking and internal/external approvals
  • Construct and present impactful program recaps designed to optimize future strategy and tactics alongside the Marketing Science team
  • Support Strategy teams with actionable insights across media channels
  • Work with agency partners to develop holistic sports-first platform planning that ties into overall brand strategy
  • Provide overviews and trends of current broadcast rights and consumption across properties
  • Act as direct liaison between client and dedicated Optimum Sports and Resolution Media investment teams
  • Maintain budget trackers and flowcharts for internal and client facing reporting
  • Assist in Ad Hoc planning requests based on client briefs and new opportunities

Requirements

  • Passion for sports is a must; experience working within sports marketing and/or media landscape
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple lines of communication and prioritize many simultaneous deliverables
  • At least 2-3 years in the marketing/media industry, with an understanding of TV and Digital media is required
  • 2+ years digital media, including buying, trafficking, analyzing, and optimizing
  • Extremely strong communicator, both written and verbal - in person and on conference calls
  • Creative thinker who has the ability to develop unique ideas, solutions, and programs
  • Strong background in client services and account management
