About the position

Victra is the leading exclusive, premium retailer for Verizon with a mission of connecting technology to life in the most trusting and profitable way. As a Senior Accountant, Treasury Operations, you will work harmoniously as part of a team of strong accounting and finance professionals to drive process improvement in the monthly and annual close process to create accurate and timely financial records and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive improvement in various accounting areas as needed, which may include gross profit, inventory, cost of goods sold, and accrued purchases, as well as associated analysis and ad-hoc reporting
  • Participate in period-end accounting close activities to ensure period is closed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Optimize and maintain account reconciliations in your areas, including clear documentation
  • Effectively and accurately communicate discrepancies and concerns to your leadership and propose solutions
  • Maintain the system of internal controls to adequately safeguard company assets and ensure the accurate presentation of financial statements; make recommendations for improvement
  • Respond to inquiries from Operations and Senior Management team regarding financial results and special reporting requirements
  • Assist with PBC packages during financial and operational audits
  • Participate in special projects as assigned (e.g. system implementation, adoption of a new GAAP standard, etc.)
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining a team spirit through supportive and positive attitude
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Multi-location or retail experience preferred. Public / industry combination experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP highly preferred
  • Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • CPA required
  • Proficient in US GAAP and current practices
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret GAAP and propose technical solutions
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated advanced skills with Microsoft Office and other accounting software
