An advocate for Agile mindsets, behaviors, and processes, the Agile Coach is responsible for helping teams perform by instilling an Agile mindset and methodology through coaching, improving team processes, and championing continuous improvement. The Agile Coach has a deep understanding of the organization and team processes and adds new value with a broader perspective of having seen other teams go through the same transition before. This role should also consider broader process improvements. Ensuring the teams have a strong Agile Coach in position to embed best working practices and carry culture is essential. The Agile Coach will champion the implementation of Agile standard methodologies across teams and at the Enterprise level, partnering with counterparts globally, with a high level of collaboration. They will guide teams to develop OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) to ensure product alignment with business priorities. Supporting the continuous improvement of methods and incorporating them into the day-to-day work of the teams is a key responsibility. The Agile Coach will promote self-organization, collaboration, and improved team dynamics, advocating for the right, not the easy solution. They will also be responsible for removing and/or appropriately bringing up impediments to the team to enable business value delivery. In addition, the Agile Coach will launch new teams, set up result delivery processes (e.g., facilitate workshops, trainings, help teams to define the cadence), and provide guidance on Agile practices for the organization, including creating training materials and other tools. They will identify challenges and opportunities for teams and key roles (e.g., Product Owner, Chapter Lead, Scrum Master, Tech Lead, Senior Tech Lead, Senior Product Owner) and generate a tailored coaching plan for each to help them on their journey. The Agile Coach will identify and communicate solutions, behavior changes, and mentality shifts required for team members and key roles, providing 1:1 coaching as needed, and being available when teams are onsite to collaborate, and when teams work remotely. They will also identify tools, trainings, or additional resources individuals should use to build on their opportunity areas as part of their coaching plan.
