About the position

The Agile Coach at Cigna Group is a multi-disciplinary role focused on leading enterprise-level transformations across business, technology, and product teams. This position requires extensive knowledge of Lean/Agile methodologies and involves working closely with organizational leaders to implement change and promote business agility. The coach will leverage Cigna's Agile assets and collaborate with various teams to refine training and guidelines, ensuring consistent practices throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will embody Lean-Agile values and demonstrate the ability to coach at all levels, from portfolio to team level, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational and enterprise change including process, practice, and tooling changes.
  • Interface with all levels of leadership and management as needed.
  • Implement change utilizing Change Management processes and techniques.
  • Apply Lean/Agile principles across globally distributed teams.
  • Work with the EA coaching organization and internal customers to demonstrate and measure the impact of coaching changes.
  • Evangelize Business Agility concepts throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and experiences.
  • Proactively address areas of organizational drag that may impact value realization.
  • Influence and lead agile adoption and transformation.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training at all organizational levels in an emerging agile environment.
  • Assess the current organizational delivery environment and recommend optimal agile, lean, and complementary practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile Practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile practices and shifting from project to product centric operating model.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions and counter resistance.
  • Broad experience with various roles and responsibilities in an enterprise setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and adapt cross-functionally with Business Stakeholders, Technology, and Leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Product Owner or Portfolio Management experience.
  • Subject matter expert in Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, Kanban and related methodologies.
