About the position

The Senior Agile Coach at Cigna Group is a strategic partner responsible for leading enterprise-level transformations by coaching and mentoring teams across the organization in Lean and Agile methodologies. This role involves collaborating with organizational leaders to implement change, enhance business agility, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. The coach will leverage their extensive experience to guide teams at all levels, ensuring the effective application of Agile practices and principles to deliver technology solutions in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational and enterprise change including process, practice, and tooling changes.
  • Interface with all levels of leadership and management as needed.
  • Implement change utilizing Change Management processes and techniques.
  • Apply Lean/Agile principles across globally distributed teams.
  • Work with the EA coaching organization and internal customers to demonstrate and measure the impact of coaching changes.
  • Evangelize Business Agility concepts throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and experiences.
  • Proactively address areas of organizational drag that may impact value realization.
  • Influence and lead agile adoption and transformation.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training at all organizational levels in an emerging agile environment.
  • Assess the current organizational delivery environment and recommend optimal agile, lean, and complementary practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile Practices.
  • Ability to lead teams collaboratively.
  • Ability to work well with other coaches.
  • Capacity to implement a Change Management process as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile practices and shifting from project to product-centric operating model.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions and counter resistance.
  • Broad experience with various roles and responsibilities in an enterprise setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and adapt cross-functionally with Business Stakeholders, Technology, and Leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Product Owner or Portfolio Management experience.
