About the position

The Senior Agile Coach at Humana plays a crucial role in fostering the successful adoption of Agile methodologies, particularly through the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This position focuses on coaching and mentoring at both the Agile Team and Agile Release Train (ART) levels, while also serving as the Jira Align Champion lead. The role involves guiding agile practices and tool implementations in alignment with the organizational agile transformation roadmap, facilitating workshops, and developing training programs to enhance agile capabilities across the business segment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the agile implementation strategy across an entire business segment.
  • Mentor, coach, and train leaders and leader roles to support a generative agile culture.
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute ART, Solution, and Portfolio related activities.
  • Gain executive buy-in and provide coaching to business partners.
  • Facilitate Value Stream Workshops and develop custom micro-trainings/workshops.
  • Act as an educator and mentor for Team- and ART-level roles.
  • Train and coach the use of Jira Align to other Champions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in agile coaching/mentoring role and change management experience.
  • Experience working in at least two agile transformations at the line of business or department level.
  • Active SAFe 6 Program Consultant (SPC6) certification.
  • Completed at least one Value Stream Workshop.
  • Lean Portfolio Management implementation experience.
  • Understanding of agile development processes and methodology beyond just SAFe.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing DevOps practices to increase team agility.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Quality Engineering across a line of business.
  • Experience creating Agile implementation roadmaps and strategies in diverse environments.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with various teams and leaders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, training, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agile, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of agile lifecycle management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.)
