Agile coaches are industry-certified change agents who combine their technical knowledge of lean-agile values, principles, and practices with an intrinsic motivation to improve AT&T's software, systems, and Agile business processes. Using their broad Agile experience, Senior-Agile Coaches focus on identifying and initiating specific Agile team practices to reach outcomes defined through coach-customer collaboration. Having agreed upon desired outcomes, the Senior-Agile Coach engages in areas of instruction, demonstration, and organizational strategy through iterative coaching plans. Senior-Agile Coaches work primarily at team and team-of-teams levels mentoring Scrum Masters and Product Owners, and they often collaborate with more experienced coaches to support larger Agile Engagements. Senior-Agile Coaches contribute to public instruction of Agile principles and practices as content producers and co-instructors. Agile Coaches focus on driving transformation for the program which they are assigned and fully engaged. They are experts in helping teams mature in the use of agile principles and practices, promoting consistent behaviors and providing guidance to drive maturity. Agile Coaches guide and help teams on both the product and delivery side, functioning at varying levels depending on individual skill and experience combined with the need of the engagement.
