About the position

Workiva is embarking on an exciting AI transformation, and we are seeking a Senior AI Program Manager to lead the implementation and scaling of AI initiatives across our internal business technology landscape. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing Workiva’s AI strategy, ensuring that AI technologies are leveraged to enhance internal processes, optimize productivity, and accelerate transformation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience deploying and leading an enterprise-wide internal AI program at a multi-billion-dollar, global SaaS organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive AI adoption across a complex organization, influence without authority, and navigate the challenges of AI implementation—including working through resistance, upskilling teams, and integrating AI solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute Workiva's AI strategy, with an emphasis on integrating AI into internal systems and processes to automate and streamline operations.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value internal AI use cases that align with Workiva's business objectives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of internal AI projects, from concept to deployment and beyond, ensuring seamless integration with Workiva's internal infrastructure.
  • Champion the adoption of AI across Workiva, highlighting its potential to transform internal operations and workflows.
  • Lead the AI Ambassadors and AI Champions program; working closely with them to develop, and scale internal AI initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to scale internal AI solutions within the Workiva platform, ensuring widespread adoption and impact on internal efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Learning and Development Team to implement AI Literacy and Awareness programs across the organization.
  • Track and report on the ROI and impact of internal AI initiatives, demonstrating the value of AI to Workiva's internal operations.
  • Work closely with data and analytics teams, engineers, business system analysts, and business leaders to ensure successful execution of internal AI projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams within Workiva, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in internal operations.
  • Influence without authority, knowing when to bring teams along and when to push for faster AI adoption.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure internal AI solutions are developed and deployed ethically and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, tailored to the complexities of Workiva's internal systems and processes.
  • Monitor program progress and identify and mitigate risks, with a focus on ensuring minimal disruption to Workiva's internal operations.
  • Ensure internal AI projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, maintaining the integrity and reliability of Workiva's internal solutions.
  • Create and manage project documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders within Workiva.
  • Remain up to date on the latest AI trends and technologies, particularly those relevant to improving internal processes and efficiency.
  • Evaluate new AI tools and platforms, assessing their potential to enhance Workiva's internal operations.
  • Provide executive level reporting on the status and risks of AI related programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex cross functional initiatives and strategic programs across functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and scaling AI solutions at a global, enterprise level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams, to achieve program goals & objectives as well as business outcomes.
  • Prior experience in SaaS B2B environments, particularly in Business Technology or AI transformation roles.

Benefits

  • Salary range in the US: $129,000.00 - $207,000.00.
  • A discretionary bonus typically paid annually.
