About the position

The position is for a key technical leader at Teradyne, responsible for the concept, design, implementation, validation, and customer adoption of new high power and precision ATE instrumentation. This role involves addressing complex design challenges in various markets, including Power Management, Mobile, Automotive, and High Performance Compute. The candidate will work on high-performance devices, ensuring they meet rigorous standards and contribute to the company's mission of delivering innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify key areas of enabling technology investment to realize product visions and advocate for funding.
• Guide technical teams through a disciplined design methodology from analysis to product release.
• Articulate design trade-offs to navigate complex challenges and assist teams in making quick product definition decisions.
• Resolve complex multi-disciplinary problems and guide teams through solutions.
• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to less senior engineers.
• Break down complex problems into actionable steps to reduce technical risk and communicate contingencies to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Recognized technical contributor in analog circuits, digital and analog control loop theory, and switched-mode power supply design.
• Experience in high-performance data acquisition and mixed signal PCB design.
• Familiarity with advanced packaging and magnetics theory.
• Knowledge of ultra-low noise design and high-speed signal integrity.
• Ability to navigate multiple levels of abstraction from technical details to the big picture.
• 10+ years of hardware design experience, with instrumentation design experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
