About the position

Join Walmart as a Plant Accountant (Process Analyst II) where your work will support over 255 million global customers. This role focuses on managing transactional accounting for the plant accounting team, leading payroll programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. You will analyze financial performance, ensure audit accuracy, and drive transformation initiatives while fostering a diverse and engaged workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the transactional accounting for the plant accounting team to deliver key business objectives.
  • Lead the producer payroll program for the plant.
  • Provide direction to cross-functional internal and external teams to allocate and align resources, clarify priorities, and drive deliverables.
  • Prevent or resolve conflicts and mitigate business impact to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the analysis of the financial performance of the plant using financial data.
  • Compare data to third-party information, budgets, or actual results and discuss business impacts.
  • Ensure audits are managed for timelines and accuracy, facilitating relationships with internal customers and external specialists.
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts and account reconciliations under areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with Transformation and Business Integration team to identify opportunities and ensure deliverables meet objectives.
  • Oversee and review work performed by third-party partners, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 0-1 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Experience across transactional accounting, FP&A, process design, process mapping, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with Finance technologies, including SAP, Power BI, and other data tools.
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
