About the position

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Healthcare Analytics Consultant at Evolent Health plays a crucial role in delivering client-specific analytical insights and driving data-driven decision-making. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights, thereby enhancing the value of Evolent's healthcare solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and independence in solving complex healthcare analytics problems.

Responsibilities

• Work on a strategic analytics team to identify and deliver business insights to clients.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to internal and external stakeholders, communicating Evolent product performance and identifying opportunities for health plan population management.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify key metrics aligned with client strategy and Evolent's value story.
• Create data visualizations in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI to deliver data-driven insights to non-analytical stakeholders.
• Analyze clinical authorization and healthcare claims data using Power BI, Excel, SAS, SQL, or similar analytical software.
• Integrate various data sources using analytical tools to solve challenging analytical problems that align with key strategic objectives.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in a consulting or strategic analytics role.
• BS or BA in Business, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with a quantitative emphasis.
• Experience using a variety of data visualizations and PowerPoint to deliver business insights clearly and succinctly.
• Strong analytical abilities with a track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• Independent thinker with the ability to multitask and manage multiple long-term projects with varying timelines.
• Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience presenting business insights to internal and external stakeholders is preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience using Excel and SQL or SAS is preferred.
• 2-5 years of healthcare-related experience is preferred.
