About the position

The Senior Analyst position is focused on enhancing and maintaining the cybersecurity environment for our clients. The role requires a deep understanding of the client's cybersecurity landscape and the associated products. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring, configuring, and troubleshooting various cybersecurity issues, utilizing a range of monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and security. This position also involves analyzing and validating cybersecurity incidents in detail, providing support to the Level 3 (L3) team with root cause analysis (RCA) and data or log collection. In addition to incident management, the Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in knowledge transfer and training. This includes the creation and maintenance of essential documentation such as configuration documents, test plans, and operational manuals. The analyst will also provide operational training to the Level 1 (L1) team, ensuring they are equipped to handle basic cybersecurity tasks effectively. The role further entails analyzing and fine-tuning cybersecurity policies, participating in review calls related to change requests, and making recommendations for policy changes. The Senior Analyst will implement necessary changes, monitor the performance of security devices, and conduct performance tuning as required. Regular preparation of analyses and reports to highlight project progress and challenges is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the client is kept informed with accurate and quality information.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the client's cybersecurity environment and respective product.
  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity issues and related monitoring tools.
  • Analyze and validate cybersecurity incidents in detail and assist the L3 team with RCA and data or logs collection.
  • Enable knowledge transfer and training through the creation and maintenance of configuration documents, test plans, and operational manuals.
  • Provide operational training to the L1 team.
  • Analyze and fine-tune cybersecurity policies and participate in cybersecurity review calls regarding change requests.
  • Implement changes and monitor security device performance, performing tuning when necessary.
  • Prepare analyses and reports to highlight project progress or challenges and ensure quality and accuracy to the client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology (B-Tech) or equivalent.
  • 2.5 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in perimeter security operations and firewall management.
