About the position

Under the direction of and reporting to Senior Manager, Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, partner with manufacturing sites to drive data and traceability initiatives in battery manufacturing. The Manufacturing Data and Traceability Project Leader will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of data and traceability projects within our battery manufacturing operations. This role will involve close collaboration with our global teams in Asia, Europe, and North America. In addition, this role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, data management, and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for battery New Product Development (NPD) teams on traceability, providing direction, guidance and expertise to team members
• Facilitate project flow involving regular contact with engineering, manufacturing and other cross functional teams when necessary
• Make formal presentations regarding project status to team and management
• Provide input with cross functional teams of baseline staffing and skillset required as related to the operational complexity of the process
• Work in a global team environment and challenge status quo to drive the best solutions for the business
• Lead operations milestone delivery through the NPD process
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop a strategy for data acquisition and traceability
• Support data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by partnering with cross functional teams to enforce data governance policies

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of data concepts, programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python), and data systems (e.g., databases, ETL pipelines) within an operations or manufacturing environment is required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Preferred knowledge and experience in production manufacturing assembly processes
• Preferred knowledge and experience in data connectivity, traceability, and data analysis
