About the position

At GE Appliances, a Haier company, we create possibilities. Our Air & Water team is growing, and we are looking for a results-driven Senior Area Sales Manager to drive sales and build strong relationships in the South Central region (TX, AR, LA, OK). As a Senior Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the plumbing, HVAC, and wholesale distribution market. You will lead customer sales activities, identify new business opportunities, and grow our distributor network to achieve regional sales goals. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales and customer relationships within the South Central region, with a preference for candidates based in Houston or Dallas, TX.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow our Air & Water business, including recruiting and onboarding new PHVAC wholesale distributors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, national accounts, and third-party sales representatives.
  • Drive sales and margin growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
  • Deliver product training and presentations to distributors, emphasizing the value and innovation of our product portfolio.
  • Analyze sales data to track performance and adjust strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and resolving any issues effectively.
  • Manage and support third-party manufacturer's representatives to align with business goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience with a track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, leadership, and peers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in plumbing or HVAC industry sales, either on the vendor or distributor side.
  • Proven success in developing and executing sales growth plans.
