About the position

As a Senior Asset Protection Manager at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our stores while delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Store Operational Leadership team in providing friendly, professional, and timely service to all customers. You will oversee trends and develop solutions to address inventory shrink across multiple stores, championing strategic asset protection plans that enhance safety and security outcomes. In this position, you will manage safety and asset protection programs and processes across various locations. You will ensure compliance with OSHA standards, support OSHA investigations, and provide training and coaching to associates on Asset Protection programs. Your expertise in safety-related reports, guidelines, and regulations will be vital in monitoring overall store safety and ensuring that all associates are well-informed and compliant with safety protocols. This role requires frequent travel between stores within the district, and you will generally be scheduled for 48 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours based on business needs. You will need to be available for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week. Physical demands include the ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance, and potentially more with assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Store Operational Leadership team ensure associates deliver friendly, professional, timely service to customers.
  • Oversee trends and solutions to address inventory shrink across multiple stores.
  • Champion strategic asset protection plans that improve safety and security outcomes.
  • Manage safety and asset protection programs and processes across multiple stores.
  • Ensure stores adhere to OSHA standards and support OSHA investigations.
  • Train and coach associates on Asset Protection programs.
  • Monitor overall store safety and compliance with safety-related reports, guidelines, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in retail or asset protection.
  • 3 years of experience conducting retail investigations.
  • 2 years of experience supervising employees, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • 1 year of experience conducting quality reviews/audits.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • National certified training program (e.g., Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training).
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., LPQ, LPC) or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in retail management influencing business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (e.g., P&L, exception reports).
  • Experience using physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, EAS).
