About the position

This is a hybrid role, working onsite in Wilmington, DE office after the initial training period. The position involves conducting financial, operational, compliance, and information security audits for assigned processes, departments, or divisions throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, leads, and performs audits.
  • Analyzes the results of audit work.
  • Prepares and reviews work papers to support conclusions.
  • Develops recommendations and summarizes audit results.
  • Conducts entrance and exit meetings and drafts audit reports.
  • Resolves outstanding issues.
  • Determines purpose, scope, and approach based on review of key processes and controls.
  • Evaluates previous audits and findings.
  • Interviews clients to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Researches issues and makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures.
  • Develops strong relationships with business unit management.
  • Tracks findings to ensure management addresses identified risks and controls weaknesses.
  • Responds to client questions and concerns, educating on risks of current practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3 years of auditing experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification preferred or working towards certifications such as CPA, CISA, CIA, or CRMA.
  • Strong working knowledge of audit practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong problem identification, analysis and problem solving, report writing and editing, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A team player, able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
  • Understanding of the International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Auditing.
