VHB is seeking a Senior Aviation Environmental Planner with proven experience in airport projects to join our Aviation team! Hybrid Work Opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic Region! We're looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative Senior Aviation Environmental Planner to support projects across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and New England regions. Responsibilities
- Project management for complex airport planning studies
- Research, analysis, and creation of airport environmental and planning documents including but limited to NEPA environmental fillings, airport master planning and airport layout plans (ALPs), airport electrification, sustainability, resiliency, and climate change, technical analyses of environmental conditions for example: noise, air quality, stormwater, remediation, etc., Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and eVTOL
- Assist the Corporate Aviation Market Leader and Regional Managers with business development and provide technical expertise
- Maintain and grow current client relationships
- Support business development/new client acquisitions
- Perform project reviews and quality control audits for deliverables
- Supervise and mentor team members with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in Project Management and contracting (scope and fee development) for aviation projects
- Experience with monitoring scope, schedule, and budget for contracts
- Ability to coordinate with other VHB service lines to position for projects at key airports to grow the practice and increase revenue
- Experience working with FAA and Federal/State/local regulatory agencies
- Aviation related professional certifications preferred
- Demonstrable experience with business development and proposal writing
- Ability to deliver technical innovation and bring extraordinary value to our aviation clients
- Active in the Aviation industry by being a thought leader and involved in service organizations
- Actively participate in developing aviation business opportunities throughout the corporate footprint
- Experience mentoring aviation planning and environmental staff
