About the position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Antonio, TX. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter proficiency for work described in the task.
  • Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements.
  • Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.
  • Provide subject matter expertise with application lifecycle management as it pertains to containerized Kubernetes clustered environments.
  • Responsible for the installation, orchestration, execution, configuration, security, and validation of clusters.
  • Participate in establishing architectural standards that enable DevOps practices like infrastructure as code, policy as code, and CI/CD.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience using and provisioning cloud services (AWS).
  • Thorough understanding of networking and DNS, scheduling, troubleshooting and logging and monitoring of relevant areas.
  • Proficiency in AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, Lambda etc., orchestrated/deployed in a cloud environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 – 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, AWS Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services (EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Java, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • 5+ years of applied experience on containerized platforms.
  • IAT level II certification.
  • AWS Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • At least 2 of the below AWS certifications or training: AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or training, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification or training, AWS DevOp Engineer Certification or training.
