About the position

As the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you will lead brand marketing for the Bank, including acting as a center of excellence for the overall marketing team. The Senior Brand Marketing Manager at Western Alliance Bank will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that enhance the bank's market presence and reputation. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive brand initiatives, foster brand loyalty, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. The Senior Brand Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to align brand strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with the bank's goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a strong brand positioning in the market to differentiate Western Alliance Bank from its competitors.
  • Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer on owning overarching brand strategy, architecture, brand voice and value proposition across all touch points.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's value proposition.
  • Create and run national campaigns that elevate the company’s reputation and increase brand awareness and sentiment.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency in all marketing materials and communications.
  • Manage the design, content and delivery of the collateral system for the bank, also including sales support materials and templates.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer preferences to inform brand strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product and sales teams to ensure brand alignment and integration.
  • Provide guidance to our marketing team as a center of excellence in managing their segments and national business lines creative and campaigns, with focus on measurement.
  • Provide oversight of development of all marketing assets across digital and offline channels, print and digital advertising, email, and social.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong brand partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage the brand and creative agency and provide guidance to other marketing agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in brand management required, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with B2B marketing in financial services a plus, either through client or agency side.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies, including leading or playing a key role in a rebrand initiative for a large company, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven ability to lead creative strategy, including campaign development and deployment.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and business decisions to drive results.
  • Ability to communicate with senior executives and manage highly visible projects.
  • Solid program and project management skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of general commercial banking products and services a plus, including deposit, loan, and treasury management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and excellence.
