Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

About the position

The position involves leading the development and implementation of comprehensive business intelligence solutions for the Lottery Insights group and FL SGEP. The role requires utilizing tools such as Tableau, Excel, and SQL to analyze, interpret, and visualize complex datasets. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and design dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making. Additionally, the role includes conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business optimization and improvement. The candidate will also be responsible for developing advanced Excel models using complex formulae, querying and manipulating large datasets with SQL, and maintaining key analytic products relied upon within the organization. Proactive generation of insights based on evaluations of the lottery marketplace is expected, along with effective communication of findings to stakeholders and the preparation of presentations for leadership.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in business intelligence analysis with a focus on data product development.
• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying solutions for business problems.
• Experience querying large-scale datasets with advanced SQL.
• Expertise in Tableau for data visualizations and dashboard development.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulae and pivot tables.
• Strong SQL skills with expertise in writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• 3 years of experience in data programming using R and Python.
• Experience with basic modeling techniques including decision trees and logistic regressions.
• Statistical analysis skills, including descriptive statistics and regression analysis.
• Quantitative data analysis experience with large datasets.
