About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Johns Hopkins Medicine plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's data analytics capabilities under the supervision of the Director of Health Information Innovation. This position is primarily responsible for data analytics, performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualizations, and information dissemination. The analyst will structure the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications, ensuring that these tools effectively enhance clinical and business decision-making capabilities. In this role, the analyst will engage in moderately complex aspects of various projects, working both independently and collaboratively with other analytic teams and the central engineering team. The position requires a strong focus on coding innovation and the application of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. The analyst will also oversee the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of computer laptops, ensuring that the necessary tools are available for effective data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analytics and reporting, with the ability to explore data using complex business intelligence tools and relational database structures. This role is essential for driving the organization's data-driven decision-making processes and requires a proactive approach to identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems related to business intelligence applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analytics and support performance measures.
  • Manage ongoing measurement, data collection, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • EDW internal certification required within 6 months.
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years of related experience in health care.
  • At least 3 years of data analytic experience.
