About the position

xF Technologies is seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the implementation, analysis, and improvement of processes and equipment within our organization. As a Chemical Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass conducting research studies, designing innovative solutions, and overseeing the seamless implementation and troubleshooting of a novel chemical process to produce a line of renewable chemicals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of skilled Engineers to identify opportunities for enhancement in our plants. Your primary focus will be on scaling up a production process from lab-scale to pilot scale and later on to a commercial scale plant. Your expertise and technical knowledge will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective plans that optimize our production processes. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our organization, making a significant impact on our operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, analyze data, and design solutions to improve production processes and equipment.
  • Work on minimizing waste, increasing product quality, and implementing safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, run simulations, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Use scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Design, propose, implement, review, and correct plans to ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Oversee plant operation, on site and remotely.
  • Observe production processes and find ways to increase efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. More advanced degrees preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in chemical process optimization and equipment design.
  • Proven experience with process automation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with process design software.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and industry standards.
