Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and manipulate the server infrastructure behind ServiceNow’s cloud.
  • Work directly on/with the servers to enable and optimize capacity utilization for ServiceNow’s customer base.
  • Enhance processes and tools and automation necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
  • Provide proactive management and innovation to ensure 100% success of ServiceNow cloud automation.

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 4+ years of experience in public/private cloud support.
  • Deep understanding of service and components of enterprise cloud capacity operations.
  • Thrive in fast-paced operations and engineering environments.
  • Experience in DNS/DHCP and bare metal/rack deployments.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux systems and virtualization technologies (VMware, Openstack, KVM, etc.).
  • Strong Linux System Admin skills preferably working knowledge LVM.
  • Develop BASH or Python scripts to perform repetitive operation tasks.
  • Understanding of enterprise-class server hardware eg. Dell.
  • Understanding of storage concepts such as NFS, and iSCSI, NVMe Over TCP.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic understanding of ServiceNow asset management and CMDB principals.
  • Storage configuration concepts configuration and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced network troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of Puppet configuration management.
  • Experience with the ServiceNow Platform is a bonus.
  • Knowledge around MySQL/PostgreSQL a plus.
