About the position

As a Senior Communications Specialist at HNTB, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing internal communications strategies that align with the company's business goals. This position involves creating engaging content, coordinating communication programs, and ensuring brand consistency across various channels. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and the creative team to produce high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences, while also managing events and leading team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications plans that align with the firm's goals and business development efforts.
• Create engaging and informative content consistent with brand messaging for internal, social, and web channels.
• Collaborate with the creative team to produce visually compelling content.
• Support the coordination and logistics of events, conferences, meetings, and forums.
• Organize team meetings to ensure alignment within the communications team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related fields and 5 years of corporate communications or agency experience.
• In lieu of degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent writing skills with expert knowledge of AP Style.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork/collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage and work with a network of freelancers.
• Highly organized and deadline-driven.
• Self-starter with creativity and a can-do attitude.
• Experience interacting and working with senior-level leadership.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with web content management systems such as Microsoft SharePoint Online and Canva.
• Passion for storytelling.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
