About the position

The Senior Contract Administrator at CDM Smith plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with corporate policies and government regulations related to contracts. This position involves leading complex contracts, advising management on compliance issues, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate contract administration. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility in work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the lead on complex contracts of moderate risk.
  • Applies knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency-specific acquisition regulations to support compliance.
  • Prepares and reviews non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
  • Performs detailed review of solicitations and contracts, work orders, and other agreements to flag risk and compliance issues.
  • Advises company management on risk and compliance issues.
  • Supports project management staff in complying with administrative contractual requirements through the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates with client contract administration staff to facilitate processing of contract and project authorizations and amendments.
  • Negotiates contract clauses and budgets, and responds to client concerns.
  • Coordinates with other corporate departments to address contractual issues.
  • Confers with technical staff and project management on issues such as desirability of work, and terms and conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required, contingent on specific duties and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience managing federal service-based contracts with agencies such as FEMA, EPA, and/or USACE.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
  • NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
