About the position

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing and securing a large enterprise network by evaluating and implementing new technologies, analyzing cybersecurity components, and resolving potential issues. This hands-on position requires collaboration with various teams to improve security standards and ensure that security is integrated into application development, network infrastructure, and cloud systems. The analyst will also guide the Cyber Governance and Information Protection team, making informed security decisions and implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement new technologies related to cybersecurity.
  • Analyze cybersecurity components and controls associated with products, processes, and solutions.
  • Design complex solutions for vulnerability detection, threat and risk analysis, and network intrusion.
  • Manage vulnerabilities and implement vulnerability management strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and IT groups regarding information security issues.
  • Implement security policies, standards, and procedures, including firewall rules and data protection measures.
  • Identify software weaknesses that could lead to vulnerabilities.
  • Perform security assessments of cloud platforms using industry-standard frameworks.
  • Respond to alerts and perform initial risk/impact assessments.
  • Support operating organizations during corporate emergencies.

Requirements

  • Experience with Antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS profiles.
  • Proven experience in vulnerability management and IPS management.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM and cloud security posture management tools.
  • Broad foundation of IT/Security architectural experience.
  • Understanding of Internet, server/storage technologies, and cloud services/integrations.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of authentication, authorization, and applied cryptography.
  • Experience with web-related technologies and protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with security incident and event management (SIEM).
  • Knowledge of ISO, CSA-CSM, and NIST frameworks.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions.
