Senior Data Analyst

About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This position focuses on data analysis supporting the Department of Justice Advanced Analytics and Data Mining Lab with fraud fighting activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data visualizations, data analytics, and experience working with large databases. Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Inform data reporting requirements and dashboards.
• Conduct detailed analysis for structured and unstructured data.
• Support defining data metrics for future processes.
• Establish throughput and processing times for future processes.
• Define data management standards using best practices.
• Conduct complex data analysis and queries to inform US Attorney case teams with decision making, including drafting executive reports and dashboards that demonstrate the analyses.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in data, Statistics, or computer science related field.
• At least 5 years' experience performing data analysis.
• At least one (1) year hands-on experience working with Tableau or PowerBI.
• Have advanced understanding of SQL.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge Python scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with MS SQL Server.
• Understanding of legal terminology and processes.
• Experience with US Government contracting.
