About The Position

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead and deliver Azure Data Analytics solutions for enterprise-level organizations. This fully remote position requires expertise in designing and implementing data platforms, managing performance, and collaborating with business stakeholders to enable advanced analytic capabilities. The role involves working with various Azure services and BI tools to create data products and ensure high-quality data management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 8 years of experience in data engineering, with 4 years of additional relevant experience substitutable for education.
• At least 2 years of experience with Azure services.
• Experience in solution shaping and architecture development.
• Strong skills in data modeling, mapping data flows, and data design.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Analytics platform tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse/Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience in designing reporting and data visualization solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management and Data Quality tools.
• Experience in designing and implementing machine learning solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Azure DataBricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Azure Data Analytics solutions.
• Develop enterprise data models and data solutions.
• Specify and implement ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines using low-code/no-code tools.
• Design and implement Master Data Management solutions.
• Establish Data Quality Management methodologies and supporting technology tools.
• Collaborate with project management and agile delivery teams.
• Engage with stakeholders and end-users throughout the software development lifecycle.
