About the position
The Senior Data Engineer role focuses on building and optimizing data infrastructure to support machine learning model execution. This position requires expertise in data ingestion, movement, and caching, particularly using technologies like Redis and Kafka. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring efficient data flow and integrity within the system, contributing to the overall performance of machine learning applications.
Responsibilities
- Build a Redis cache with data features for machine learning model execution.
- Handle data ingestion and movement using Kafka, Python, and Java frameworks.
Requirements
- General knowledge of data applications, including data movement, database design, data controls, reconciliation, and logging.
- Working knowledge of Java, Python, Spark, and data movement technologies.
- Experience designing data cache for ML model execution, preferably with Redis.
- Experience with event-based data, preferably with Kafka.
- Experience creating, troubleshooting, and tuning SQL queries for relational databases, preferably Oracle.
