About the position

The Senior Data Integration Engineer is responsible for defining, documenting, and maintaining integration requirements which would include input/output message specifications and mapping requirements between inputs and outputs. Candidates should have a proven track record of technical integration analysis, project management, and an ability to collaborate and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This role will provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business leaders, product owners/analysts, and technical solution providers across the enterprise.
  • Understand business needs, and lead the integration design and development to support business goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business representatives at all levels of the organization and across the enterprise, consistently delivering high-quality services while working on multiple complex projects/engagements.
  • Throughout implementation, collaborate with the development team and other technical staff to identify and remove roadblocks, and make course corrections to the implementation as necessary.
  • Drive solution identification and assessment, validating that solutions achieve desired business results.
  • Ensure that all testing requirements are met and testing results documented.
  • Provide tactical leadership for certification and deployment of new integrations impacting the entire HCA enterprise.
  • Work with functional, technical, and project teams to deliver solutions timely and effectively, follow processes and standards, and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Data and Integration Analysis required.
  • Proven experience in Healthcare Integration analysis and/or integration engineering.
  • Experience with HL7-related analysis tooling, such as HL7Spy.
  • Understanding of Healthcare integration standards such as HL7, X12, FHIR.
  • Understanding of basic data integration technologies - networking, TCP/IP, MLLP, FTP, HTTP, REST, SOAP.
  • Direct experience with, and/or training in, healthcare-related integration engines such as Cloverleaf, BizTalk, Mirth, etc.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of business analysis tools and documentation methods.
  • Ability to work with a variety of group members, both functional and technical, across HCA and other organizations to define requirements, resolve issues, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective relationship-building skills.
