About the position

The Senior Data Visualization Engineer plays a crucial role in transforming complex data into accessible and understandable visualizations and algorithms. This position involves building user interfaces and interactive visualizations to support stakeholders in making informed business decisions. The engineer will work on moderately complex to complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of various factors, while also influencing departmental strategy and making decisions on technical approaches without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Build user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms.
  • Transform complex data into accessible formats for stakeholders.
  • Develop cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Create interactive visualizations and front-end software applications.
  • Perform data analytics based on stakeholder needs.
  • Influence departmental strategy and decision-making processes.
  • Make decisions on technical approaches for project components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics and building user interfaces.
  • Experience with data extraction and analysis technologies such as SAS, SPSS, QlikView, Hadoop, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Experience in reporting and creating metrics for management.
  • Proficient in data mining and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Ability to make complex data understandable for leaders to derive insights.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and dynamic personality with teamwork skills.
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
