The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of Board area Customer Services & Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Join the Multi-Tenant Engineering team to own, build, and harden the internal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments.
• Build the automation deployment that will deliver SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers.
• Work closely with technical product managers, engineers, and architects focused on HCM applications.
• Solve intricate challenges of scale and security unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud.
• Serve as the subject matter expert of the Sovereign Cloud HCM environment setup.
• Engage closely with regional Operations colleagues, Security, QA, and other Sovereign Cloud Engineering teams.
• Drive the end-to-end deployment of product capabilities from defining implementation concepts to automated deployments for customer adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud operations - developing, delivering and maintaining Cloud Products.
• In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS required.
• Very good understanding of deployment automation and tools such as Ansible and Chef.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch.
• Experience with logging tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Logstash.
• Experience with Cloud Networking tools like AWS VPCs, VNet, or Google VPC.
• In-depth experience in technologies for deploying and managing Cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub.
• Scripting background in PowerShell or Python preferred.
• Experience with Security best practices including hardened containers and images (STIG).
• Experience with Security tools like Hashicorp Vault preferred.
• Experience with SuccessFactors (HCM) system environment setup including dependency management and user administration.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice-to-haves

• Product knowledge of SuccessFactors (HCM) applications including Mobile is a plus.
• Database knowledge like SAP HANA.
• Decision-making, persistence, and can-do attitude.
