Senior DevSecOps Engineer

The Senior Developer Security Operations Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) and Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) by following a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline with geospatial software on local and cloud-based enterprise technologies. NAVOCEANO and CNMOC are located at NASA's Stennis Space Center, and all tasking is performed on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support DevSecOps initiatives by developing and implementing test-driven security within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
• Able to document a clear and repeatable process, then train other team members to perform automated assessment reviews.
• Develop and implement security assessment automation tools to support DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security assurance into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses on new and existing software.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the creation of security policies and standards.
• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure continuous monitoring and authorization.
• Assist in developing security training and awareness for technical staff.
• Stay current with evolving security landscape, industry trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Active SECRET Clearance with T5 investigation
• B.S. in Computer Science or related IT degree
• IAT/IAM II certification (such as Security+)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Cloud Technologies, Cloud DevSecOps
• Experience with Cybersecurity, DISA STIGs, Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Agile project management
