About the position

The Senior Director of AP Strategy and Analytics at College Board is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that enhance the Advanced Placement (AP) Program. This role involves developing evidence-based recommendations, executing complex analyses, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive impactful changes that benefit high school students. The position requires a strong commitment to educational opportunities and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic Program and product design by addressing complex strategic issues at both the Program and product level.
  • Evaluate new product development ideas considering mission, economic impact, market trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Transform raw data into actionable strategic knowledge through high-impact analyses.
  • Pursue a rigorous understanding of multiple market audiences in secondary and higher education.
  • Partner with executives and managers to support and develop business and product strategies.
  • Represent AP on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to expand access for underrepresented students.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, education, or product development/management.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Successful track record in growth strategy, market analysis, financial diligence, competitive response, and new product evaluation.
  • Strong advisory and coaching skills to colleagues at various levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn data into meaningful insights for decision-making.
  • Experience with financial and non-financial modeling and effective data presentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of senior constituents.
  • Knowledge of secondary schools' operations and culture is a plus.
