About the position

As the Senior Director of Finance Controls, Compliance, and Risk at TransUnion, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy and execution of managing the control environment for the global finance function. This includes overseeing the annual assessment of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (S-Ox), maintaining policies, and evaluating compliance with key financial processes. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring of risks within the company, ensuring that the control environment is robust and effective. Your leadership will be crucial in developing a high-caliber team that partners with control owners across various business units and information technology to deliver high-quality control documentation, including control matrices, process narratives, and flowcharts. You will also be tasked with evaluating risks, understanding compensating controls, and developing and executing testing procedures for these control activities. In this role, you will initially focus on leading the Company's annual S-Ox compliance program. This involves preparing the annual scoping and risk assessment to ensure comprehensive coverage by the program, while continuously evaluating and reacting to emerging risks and changes in the business. You will identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls, supporting internal projects or acquisition integrations as needed. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential as you serve as the primary contact for external auditors, collaborating to resolve outstanding matters in a timely manner. You will also provide periodic updates to the S-Ox Steering Committee and Audit Committee on the status of the S-Ox program, driving a culture of a strong control environment and ensuring compliance policies are maintained and enhanced as necessary. This position is hybrid, requiring regular performance of job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at an assigned TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week. You will have the opportunity to work with great people, pioneering products, and cutting-edge technology, while also being encouraged to pursue your passions and take ownership of your career development.
