About the position

Peloton is seeking a Senior Director of Product Analytics to lead a team of analysts and data scientists, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product. This role is crucial for delivering strategic insights, reporting capabilities, and A/B testing to guide the company's product direction and resource allocation. The Senior Director will ensure the team has the right data infrastructure, tools, and deliverables while fostering a high-performing and engaged team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Product Analytics team of approximately 15 analysts and data scientists.
  • Implement effective data collection systems for key product events and establish data hygiene systems.
  • Choose and upgrade tooling for Product Analytics and A/B testing, including training for analytics and PMs.
  • Develop a strategic Product Analytics roadmap in consultation with leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Define and track company KPIs and focus areas.
  • Align processes between Product Analytics and User Experience Research for consistent insights.
  • Establish product data standards in partnership with PM, Legal, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data science and statistics in digital companies, particularly in product and user behavior.
  • 4+ years of experience managing and leading analytics and data science teams.
  • Deep understanding of Product Analytics in the product development lifecycle.
  • High proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data science tools/frameworks.
  • Experience with self-service analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Experience with machine learning applications and experimentation systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using ChatGPT for analyses.
  • Proven track record of providing insights that shape product roadmaps and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading embedded teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
