The Space Imaging Systemsteam is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead. The Space ImagingSystems team is responsible for all aspects of spaceborne EO/IRsystem development, from the ideation stage through initialproduction. In this role, you will work closely with aninterdisciplinary technical team to define space EO/IR payloadelectrical architectures, build prototypes, perform ground testing,and mature the prototypes into flight hardware products. As needed,you will also lead small teams of engineers from concept throughsystem definition and development. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Develop andoversee all electronic aspects of spaceborne EO/IR systems (e.g.sensor electronics, payload interfaces, power management,communication protocols, etc.) * Work with system engineers todefine requirements based on physics-based models of sensor &system performance. * Provide support and collaborate with multipleplatform teams, both internal and external * Work with ourelectrical engineering team to design PCBs for space environmentsand support testing for thermal, vacuum, vibration, and radiationsurvivability. * Coordinate and communicate with both external ∫ernal stakeholders with varying degrees of technical background.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience in electricalsystems engineering with a focus on space systems and payloaddevelopment * A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering orequivalent. * Ability to decompose complex systems into functionalparts, with clearly defined interfaces and requirements for each. *Demonstrated experience designing, testing, and troubleshootingelectronics at the component and system levels. * Strong laboratoryskills (e.g. design of experiments) * Knowledge of modern analogand digital electronics and electronic circuits. * Experience insystem development from initial concept through test and deliveryto customer. * Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. securityclearance. * Willingness to travel to test sites, as needed.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with radiation hardened &fault tolerant electronics design. * Experience with thermal vacuumchamber and radiation testing of electronics. * Advanced sensingdomain experience (e.g., EO/IR, LIDAR) * A track record ofsuccessfully working on fast-paced, highly technical,interdisciplinary teams. * Demonstrated ability to lead across-functional team through design trades while meeting programdeadlines. * Proficiency in an analytical toolchains/language(e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++, etc) US Salary Range $142,000 -$213,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based ona wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salaryonly. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to)work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/orbusiness considerations.
