Haskell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our healthcare group in Charlotte, NC. This role is pivotal in providing innovative healthcare solutions tailored to our clients' unique needs. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical systems for various healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigned project designs, coordination, client communications, and associated construction administration.
- Supervise team members assigned to projects, ensuring staff utilization and overseeing the work performed by the assigned staff.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Apply knowledge of building systems and codes, including NFPA and UL standards, to ensure compliance in designs.
- Design power distribution systems, emergency systems, and lighting systems, ensuring proper application and coordination.
- Perform analysis of proposed systems and present Value Engineering options to facility owners.
- Document calculations reflecting code compliance, including lighting, power load, and short circuit calculations.
- Provide construction support, including problem-solving for field oversights and conducting field inspections.
- Prepare design estimates for assigned projects and negotiate additional design fees when necessary.
- Engage in professional development and maintain required licensing CEUs.
Requirements
- Accredited electrical engineering degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience after obtaining PE licensure.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
- Revit experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
