We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems that enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency. You will interpret and manage Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure optimal system design and operation, ensuring that all E&I systems adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards. You will also develop and manage Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and process control systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation within the manufacturing environment. Regular system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance will be part of your responsibilities to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to align E&I systems with overall manufacturing objectives. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and other team members, while continually keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in E&I engineering and incorporating this knowledge into your work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
  • Interpret and manage Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure optimal system design and operation.
  • Ensure all E&I systems adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards.
  • Develop and manage Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and process control systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation within the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct regular system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align E&I systems with overall manufacturing objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Continually keep abreast of latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in E&I engineering and incorporate this knowledge into your work.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), National Electrical Code (NEC), and the design of E&I systems.
  • Solid experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and process control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to E&I engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and applications relevant to this role.
