About The Position

The Senior Email Developer at the University of Southern California (USC) is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering responsive and mobile-first HTML emails to support University Advancement and USC Alumni Association engagement efforts. This role involves optimizing email performance, managing production schedules, and ensuring brand compliance while working closely with content and creative teams. The position requires a strong technical background in email development and a commitment to USC's core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or combined 4 years of experience as a substitute for minimum education.
• Strong technical knowledge of object-oriented design, web servers, web applications, programming languages, web content management systems, search engine optimization, and usability engineering.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of experience in email development and design.
• Experience with front-end and back-end website design.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes email performance through tracking, assessment, and partnership with team content and creative managers.
• Leads email segmentation, testing, and reporting.
• Maintains day-to-day email production and editorial calendars and provides weekly, monthly, and ad hoc email reporting.
• Develops responsive, mobile-first, and brand-compliant HTML emails to support engagement and outreach efforts originating from University Advancement and the USC Alumni Association.
• Manages segmentation, A/B testing, tracking, assessment, and reporting for advancement and USC Alumni Association email campaigns and deliveries.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
