About the position

Our company is seeking a skilled Senior Engineer Instrumentation and Controls to join our team. The main objective of this position is to lead the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency. This role is critical in enhancing the operational capabilities of our industrial plants through innovative control solutions. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of control systems, from initial design through to implementation and ongoing support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all systems meet the required specifications and performance standards. In this position, you will develop and implement control system architectures, electrical design, and programming tailored for industrial applications. You will lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, guiding them in the design and development of control systems. Your expertise will be essential in performing testing and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring that they operate effectively and efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals, which are crucial for both current and future reference. Providing technical support to operations and maintenance personnel will also be a key part of your role. You will collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that project goals are met on time and within budget, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Your leadership will help drive the success of our projects and contribute to the overall growth and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement control system architectures, electrical design, and programming for industrial plants
  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians in the design and development of control systems
  • Perform testing and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems
  • Develop and maintain project documentation such as specifications, drawings, and manuals
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and development of instrumentation and control systems
  • Expertise in Autodesk Build Systems Software, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming
  • Fundamentals of Engineer exam certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
